Join Itron's Outcomes product management team in an exhilarating role as the Senior Product Manager for Water and Gas Analytics software. You'll have the opportunity to lead our efforts in a critical growth area by shaping our global strategy and driving the commercialization of our analytics solutions. Your work will have a lasting impact on Itron and the water and gas industries.

Responsibilities

  1. Own the commercial solution and fuel global revenue growth.
  2. Champion water and gas digital transformation and inspire change within the industry.
  3. Develop the business strategy for Water and Gas product lines, covering market segmentation, competitive analysis, business cases, pricing, product definition, and positioning.
  4. Engage with customers and key stakeholders to validate new product ideas and requirements.
  5. Boost product portfolio adoption, identify customer opportunities, design Go-to-market strategies, and collaborate with sales and marketing teams to secure bookings.
  6. Make informed priority decisions and business trade-offs as needed.
  7. Represent the product line at trade shows and in customer-facing presentations.
  8. Foster collaboration with internal teams (Sales, Finance, Sales Ops, Technical Sales, Professional Services, Managed Services, and Networks Business Unit) as well as external customers and ecosystem partners.

Required Skills

  1. 5+ years of experience in water utility operations and/or planning.
  2. 5+ years of product management experience, including building business cases, prioritizing requirements, engaging customers, and devising roadmaps and strategic plans.
  3. Familiarity with hardware, software, recurring revenue, and managed services business models.
  4. Comprehensive understanding of water utility ecosystems, such as field equipment, monitoring, control systems, and SCADA.
  5. Knowledge of Non-Revenue Water, Water Asset Management, Water Conservation, Water Resources Planning, Gas Distribution, and Safety.
  6. Awareness of utility challenges, use cases, market opportunities, and business case modeling.
  7. Ability to navigate ambiguity and provide leadership and direction in uncharted territory.
  8. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to cater to both technical and executive audiences.
  9. Self-driven, well-organized, adaptable, and motivated to grow a line of business.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, or engineering.

Preferred Skills

  1. Prior experience with data management and data analytics.
  2. MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
