Reporting directly to the Electrical Team Coordinator, this position has responsibility of assembling electrical components. This could include wiring of the cab, cutting and building of consoles, running system testing, prepare and install parts, covers and wires into exterior compartments, hooking up load centers, inverters, door switches, installing antennas, installing all components for heating and air conditioning systems, install air horn pumps, on spot pumps and air ride pumps, 115-volt installation. This position will also be responsible for prepping, drilling and pre-wiring of trucks to include taillights, underneath wiring and ground straps, hooking up A/C and heater hoses, grille and intersection lights, horn and siren speakers. This position will also be responsible for helping other departmental employees, adhering to production schedule while maintaining a quality product.
This position requires frequent interaction with a variety of significant internal and external customers and is an active member of the Life Line Emergency Vehicle Team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must have electrical background to include 12V and 110V
- Must have knowledge and hands on experience AC and DC circuits
- Must have mechanical/electrical aptitude to include power and/or air tools
- Must be able to run/or ability to learn to wire stripper, wire cutters, crimpers, pliers, table saw, drills, hand torch, grinder and other equipment as assigned
- Must have knowledge and hands on experience with harness building process
- Must be able to problem solve and make decisions
- Must have ability to teach other employees processes
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and work orders
- Ability to inspect finished products during manufacturing
- Must be able to apply quality assurance techniques
- Must meet or exceed cost reduction goals
- Must have ability to understand manufacturing methods and techniques
- Knowledgeable of Life Line product and materials needed for production
- Must possess ability to meet deadlines
- Work with and assist other production personnel

- Previous mechanical tool or electrical experience and Life Line product knowledge a plus
- High School diploma, technical degree in related field or equivalent experience

- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works indoor conditions and is occasionally exposed to outside elements.
