Description
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for operating the Veneer Press in a high-end furniture environment.
Essential Duties:

• Preps wood product panels with wood veneer and glue
• Operates Veneer Press; gluing operations include glue rollers and hydraulic platen press
• Read work orders and identifies wood veneers
• Inspects parts for quality, identifying & separating defective materials
• Follows all safety policies and procedures
• Completes other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous veneer prep experience preferred
• Must be able to read a tape measure
• Ability to identify wood species such as maple, mahogany and ash preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to walk, stand, climb, stoop, twist, push, pull and bend over the course of 8 hours.
• Must be able to frequently lift up to 50 lbs; occasionally up to 75 lbs.
