Job Requirements / Description

The Business Analyst’s role is to work closely with business units to determine their business models, goals, and requirements, and execute the best solution for meeting those needs. This person will be involved throughout every step of identified projects, including brainstorming, configuration, testing, and deployment. Focus on assisting with the development of new or revised reporting and monitoring to improve efficiencies while optimizing the user experience. The Business Analyst will also apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to guide and assist the business units on issues related to their needs and daily use of the Business Intelligence solution.


What you’ll do:


  • Work with the subject matter experts to define, test, train, implement, and support functional requirements for monitoring and reporting.
  • Respond to user inquiries via telephone or in written internet-based email or chat sessions within acceptable guidelines as defined by Program Manager.
  • Work closely with department users to analyze operations and determine opportunities to automate processes and functions to improve current reporting or monitoring practices.
  • Utilize interpersonal skills and technical product knowledge and expertise to respond to daily client-centric activities.
  • Perform special projects upon request and on occasion.
  • Comply/conform to all applicable laws and regulations related to mortgage lending.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

What you’ll need to be successful:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business related field or the equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
  • 3+ years of Mortgage Servicing experience required.
  • Knowledge of PowerBI & Tableau a plus.
  • Knowledge in SQL programming, business analysis or Motivity a plus.
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to undertake a wide variety of challenging tasks.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, interpersonal, team, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently while delivering high-quality work and meeting planned deadlines.
  • Resourceful and proactive in gathering information, sharing ideas, and suggesting new solutions both within the team and to users (as applicable).
  • Organizational and time management skills required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and high attention to detail.
