We have an opportunity for a North America Sales Manager to join our Ampere Louisville, KY team and lead a team of Sales Representatives. You will provide technical and commercial competitive solutions to our customers and convert these into orders. Additionally, you will analyze and report on market status and development to ensure strategy and product development is in alignment with market expectations. Internally, you will work with a global, cross-functional team including various Sales Managers, the Inside & Outside Sales Team, Product Management, Marketing, Technology, Operations, Project Management and Service.

Responsibilities

  • You will provide technical and commercial competitive solutions to our customers and convert these into orders.
  • Analyze and report on market status and development to ensure strategy and product development is in alignment with market expectations.
  • Work with a global, cross-functional team including various Sales Managers, the Inside & Outside Sales Team, Product Management, Marketing, Technology, Operations, Project Management and Service.
  • Achieve (or exceed) sales and profitability targets for the Air Systems, Pleatco product line, report monthly results, and provide input to develop quarterly forecasts.
  • Meet regularly with key stakeholders to develop and maintain strong relationships built on mutual trust, respect, and cooperation.
  • Develop a plan for targeting selected strategic regions/accounts for penetration.
  • Actively seek and establish partners and opportunities to stimulate market demand in order to maximize turnover and profit.
  • Initiate and follow-up on the technical sales review (TSR) and contract review process (Contract Review Board - CRB), collaborating with relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate sales activities, which includes communicating customer requirements cross-functionally throughout a complex global organization.
  • Provide market feedback to Product Managers and Sales Leaders about the developments and trends in the industry.
  • Attend trade shows and assist in the selection and preparation of samples and promotional materials.
  • Respond quickly and efficiently to all sales leads.
  • Ensure accurate reporting and accounting of Sales leads and opportunities within CRM tool.
  • Utilize established technical sales tools to assist with identifying optimal customer solutions.
  • Create support and manage the sales forecast on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to support business AOP.

Qualifications

  • BS or BA degree, preferably in a technical or commercial area of study.
  • Experience in the Air Filtration industry is a must for this challenging position.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in outside sales with strong commercial exposure to renewable energy providers and consultants.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team.
  • Manage the goal setting and performance management process for direct reports.
  • Good organization skills, strong work ethic, and the ability to be self-motivated.
  • Proven experience in contract management, bid management, commercial discussions on bids and tenders.
  • Customer-focused, results-oriented, and possess strong negotiation skills.
  • Promotes a teamwork environment and collaboration.
  • Proactive, energetic, and conceptual with a hands-on mindset.
  • Advanced ability to use relevant software programs (e.g., MS Office, Salesforce CRM, etc.).
  • A proven track record demonstrating a team-oriented attitude and excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to travel 30-40% of the time.
