Program Manager - Hale Lanipōlua Assessment Center

Location: Honolulu, HI

Role Overview:

Hale Kipa is looking for a Program Manager to oversee the Hale Lanipōlua Assessment Center, an emergency shelter for youth between the ages of 12-17 who are identified as being victims/survivors of sex trafficking or commercial sexual exploitation and the TVAP Program (Trafficked Victims Assessment Program).

The Program Manager oversees, conducts and approves intakes/assessments, service and discharge planning, is responsible for case management, as well as individual counseling for the youth, group work as appropriate, and ensuring the provision of a therapeutic milieu. Additionally, the Program Manager is responsible for general oversight of the shelter environment, which includes hiring and supervising Youth (and Relief) Counselors. The Program Manager may need to cover shifts if there are vacancies and provide transportation for the youth as needed. Possessing the ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally with staff, youth, and all collateral contacts; being able to navigate the electronic health record, being timely with documentation and ensuring staff are timely as well, are all essential functions of this position. Report writing and other administrative duties are also a part of the Program Manager's responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in the Human Service field is highly preferred
  • At least 3 years of experience with youth, preferably youth involved with sex trafficking
  • Supervisory experience is required
