Role

As a member of the Plataine Professional Services team, the Solution Engineer & Customer Success Specialist plays a pivotal role in an exciting, customer-facing position that combines technical expertise with interpersonal skills to successfully implement Plataine's product offerings, support post-sales activities, implementation, and customer success, and ensure customer satisfaction.

The Solution Engineer & Customer Success Specialist will work closely with customers and partners to understand their business requirements and pain points. This role involves participating in the solution-design process, leading the implementation of production optimization solutions, providing technical support during and after implementation, and offering on-site assistance to customers during testing and go-live phases. Additionally, the Solution Engineer & Customer Success Specialist will collaborate with the sales team on pre-sales activities, including solution scoping, demonstrations, and addressing technical questions.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate directly with customers and partners to understand their business requirements and pain points.
2. Participate in the solution-design process to ensure deliverables meet customer needs.
3. Lead the implementation process of production optimization solutions, including project management, coordination of multidisciplinary teams, and hands-on application configuration and testing.
4. Work with sub-contractors as necessary.
5. Provide technical support to customers during and after the implementation phase.
6. Deliver technical training to customer technical staff.
7. Provide on-site support to customers during testing and go-live phases to ensure successful deployment.
8. Consult and assist customers in fine-tuning application functionality and optimization elements to meet their service business objectives.
9. Provide technical and process-related support to the sales team during the pre-sales phase, including solution scoping, product demonstrations, and addressing technical questions.
10. Collaborate closely with the sales team to develop compelling value propositions and tailor presentations to customer needs.
11. Assist in creating and reviewing sales materials, such as proposals, case studies, and white papers.

Requirements:

1. Technical 2- or 4-year degree – advantage
2. 2 - 4 years of experience in manufacturing environment (customer facing is a plus)
3. Strong desire to work both in design and in 'hands-on' implementation modes in the delivery of Plataine’s solutions
4. Experience in leading software projects – advantage
5. Experience with the implementation of enterprise commercial business application (e.g. CRM, MES, ERP) – advantage
6. Working knowledge of Hardware components (Desktops, Laptops, Servers)
7. Working knowledge of Windows PC/Server maintenance and troubleshooting
8. Working knowledge of networking components and infrastructure (Lan / Wan, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, FW) - advantage
9. Familiarity with AWS will be - advantage
10. Experience with written functional specification
11. A team player with excellent interpersonal skills
12. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong presentation skills
13. Strong analytic skills and high-level decision-making
14. Proficient in Microsoft Excel
15. Willingness to travel: up to 40% when appropriate
