Insero Talent Solutions is recruiting a Global IT Director for a industry leading manufacturing company headquartered in Rochester, NY.

Job Summary:

Responsible for both strategic and tactical direction and execution of the Global IT team spanning 6 locations in the US, Costa Rica, Ireland and China. Directs, monitors, and evaluates global information systems, objectives, strategies, and tools to ensure achievement of business objectives and organizational goals. Key leader in the strategic planning process and ensures global compliance across all systems, tools and infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Provide visionary leadership to drive digital transformation and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Foster culture of innovation/continuous improvement within the IT department.

Technology Management:

  • Manage the entire IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, databases, and applications.
  • Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to optimize business processes.
  • Ensure data security, compliance, and disaster recovery protocols.

Team Management:

  • Lead and mentor a global team of IT professionals.
  • Set performance goals, conduct performance reviews, and provide ongoing feedback.
  • Foster collaboration and teamwork across geographically dispersed teams.

Vendor and Budget Management:

  • Collaborate with vendors and negotiate contracts for hardware, software, and services.
  • Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
  • Monitor vendor performance and maintain strong relationships.

Project Delivery:

  • Oversee project lifecycles, from planning to execution and post-implementation support.
  • Ensure timely delivery of IT projects while maintaining quality standards.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project status effectively.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate IT-related risks, including cybersecurity threats.
  • Implement robust security measures and disaster recovery plans.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in progressively responsible IT leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Global mindset with the ability to collaborate across diverse cultures
