Manager of Origination - Structuring/Analytical

Piper Maddox is working exclusively with a company that is focused on the trading and algorithmic optimization of energy storage and renewable assets around the world. They are looking for a Manager of Origination with a heavy financial, price structuring, technical background & focus and ENERGY trading/renewables experience.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Jointly evaluating with the origination team successful trading and optimization strategies, including congestion management and forward hedging, while managing the clients' risk preferences.
• Leading the development of market analytics and tool creation around deal pricing and offtake structuring
• Ability to conduct medium to long term fundamental analysis on storage and renewables markets as well as competitor analysis
• Supporting the business development team with the definition and pricing of structured products

Must have' skills and experience:

• Degree with a major quantitative component, e.g. computer science, engineering, economics, mathematics, finance
• At least 2 years of experience in energy trading and analytics , consulting or energy market modeling to demonstrate comfort and fluency in the US wholesale power markets
• Experience with Monte-Carlo models and simulations
• Proven ability to understand complex problems and design innovative solutions.
• Experience with relational and/or non-relational databases for big data (eg, SQL).
• Autonomous with the ability to take initiative, influence and drive results.
• A desire for continuous learning and development.
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written.

Location: Austin, Texas OR Houston, Texas

Salary: $160k-200k base salary + bonus + benefits + health + vision + dental + 401k
