Our team operates on a hybrid schedule, requiring at least two days a week in our West Valley City office. We value work-life balance, which means overtime, evening, and weekend work is minimal unless necessary.

The ideal candidate for our Cyber Security Engineer position will have a four-year college degree in a related IT field and 5-7+ years of full-time experience securing information systems within an enterprise environment.

In this role, our Cyber Security Engineer will be instrumental in analyzing cybersecurity events, conducting investigations, and enhancing our overall security posture through innovation, creativity, and teamwork. Key responsibilities will include monitoring and responding to alerts, optimizing detection capabilities, evaluating cybersecurity measures, proposing improvement solutions, and staying current with risk management techniques.

As our Cyber Security Engineer , you will work closely with the infrastructure team to ensure that appropriate risk management processes are established and maintained, demonstrating a commitment to the success of both the team and the organization in achieving business objectives. A significant portion of your time will involve operating various network and endpoint security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanning, and patch management. You'll also lead risk mitigation efforts based on findings from penetration testing and other assessments.

Responsibilities of our Cyber Security Engineer encompass enhancing the security of our information systems through continuous monitoring, reviewing security logs, investigating issues, performing vulnerability scans, participating in penetration testing and remediating findings, and maintaining Identity Access Management systems. You'll also be involved in hardening cloud infrastructure, creating IAAS/PAAS systems with cybersecurity best practices, conducting security assessments and disaster recovery testing, and assisting with networking and systems administration as needed.

The salary for this full-time Cyber Security Engineer position ranges from $88,000 to $113,000 , depending on experience. The initial application process takes approximately three minutes. Qualified candidates will be contacted by Utah Housing Corporation.
