Senior R&D Manager

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and develop teams to achieve goals

4. Guide engineering teams in complex device development
5. Establish and monitor goals, plans, budgets, and schedules
6. Ensure compliance with external requirements and quality systems

10. Communicate effectively with stakeholders

Required Qualifications

1. BS degree in Mechanical Engineering
2. Required minimum years of work experience (primarily in medical device or related field): 7+ years with BS, 5+ years with MS
3. 5+ years' experience in leading and developing a medical device technical engineering group
4. Proficient in design controls and risk management practices with fluency in what external regulations require for various product approvals
5. Highly creative problem solver who leads with a sense of urgency
6. Demonstrated strong cross-functional collaboration, influence without authority, and project/task management enabling highly effective teams
7. Passion for understanding and solving problems for end users
8. Passion for understanding the end user environment with a fluency in design validation and usability to confirm design solutions
9. A proven track record developing medical devices from early stage through full product launch and sustaining
10. Personal drive, individual accountability and a strong bias for action
11. Strong personal credibility and excellent communication skills
