Responsibilities

  • Manage and advise clients on major litigation and project/transaction
    • Identify facts and spot major legal issues through communication with business units
    • Review legal risks, discover alternatives, and present opinions through legal research and analysis
    • When necessary, consult with outside counsel and analyze their opinions
    • Report legal opinions as well as practical alternatives to business units and key decision makers for informed decisions
  • Conduct strategic planning
    • Through close communication with the Division leader, set directions, draft and implement plans for various issues within the Division to achieve best results
    • Consult and facilitate agreements between and among relevant departments
    • Prepare various materials and reports (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) required to support progress of the projects

Qualifications

  • Licensed attorney in good standing in the jurisdiction(s) admitted with 3+ years of experience preferred
  • Must be bilingual in English and Korean
  • Must have experience in drafting, proofreading, and redlining legal documents
  • Experience in practicing law, handling civil litigation, or trial cases preferred
  • Must have a positive attitude and ability to develop and implement new ideas to create customized solutions on a client-by-client basis
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have excellent organizational skills, be analytical, and able to multitask
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
