Job Requirements / Description
Responsibilities:
- Prepare financials statements and analysis for assigned portfolio according to deadlines & requirements to ensure accuracy, internal controls and timeliness.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with colleagues, investors and upper management teams.
- Update cash and reconcile bank statements weekly & monthly and analyze cash flow, accounts payable and recurring expenses.
- Assist with ensuring all financial operating obligations are met promptly collaborating with onsite and operation staff.
- Record sound journal entries & accruals and take financial ownership of designated portfolio.
- Complete monthly excel balance sheet reconciliations and schedules providing additional support to monthly financials.
- Accurately record income, expenses, and changes in assets and liabilities on a monthly basis.
- Assist with year-end audit requests and ensure accounting standards and polices are met.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; equivalent progressive experience welcome.
- Proficient in Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Office.
- Property management software - Onesite Accounting and Yardi a plus.
- Role is hybrid after 90 days subject to successful work performance. One day work-from-home with an option for an additional day after 180 days.
