Production Assembler

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Production Assembler to perform sub-assembly and basic assembly operations. Responsibilities include preparing work, positioning parts, and inspecting finished work to ensure quality.

Essential Functions:

• Prepare work by studying assembly instructions and gathering necessary parts
• Position and assemble parts and subassemblies
• Assist in building prototypes when needed
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Contribute to team effort by training others in basic assembly tasks
• Inspect finished work to ensure it meets requirements
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to use small hand and power tools safely
• Read and interpret Drawings and Bills of Material
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to read and understand verbal instructions in English

Education/Experience:

• High School diploma, GED or relevant work experience
• Desirable: 0-1 year experience working in a manufacturing environment

Physical Demands: The work is classified as Medium - Heavy Physical Demand Level (PDL) by the US Dept of Labor's Dictionary of Occupational Titles
