Outbrain is seeking a Product Marketing Director to lead Outbrain’s Performance and Mid-Market Advertising business, driving adoption and growth for our core product, Amplify. This position will be in charge of spearheading a strong product marketing strategy that will act as a link between our business and product teams, representing our customers' needs in shaping product requirements, and effectively transforming features into cohesive sales positioning and collateral for target audiences.

This role will partner with one experienced Product Marketing Manager who will support you on executing the Product Marketing strategy.

A day in the life

As the Director or Performance and Mid-Market Advertising at Outbrain, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our advertising business by developing and implementing growth-focused programs tailored to key advertiser segments globally. You are an independent leader responsible for leading the product marketing strategy of our core Amplify platform, working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve our advertiser acquisition, retention, and product adoption goals.

  • Proactively identify areas of focus, build and implement product marketing programs, and articulate your strategy globally to make an impact and achieve our goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Sales, Finance, Legal, etc.) to define a strategy for Amplify product launches.
  • Own go-to-market strategy, define success metrics, and partner with marketing for impactful launches and promotions.
  • Partner with product teams to shape the future direction of Amplify products and ensure launches align with overall vision.
  • Develop compelling positioning collateral and materials that articulate the value of Amplify for different customer types.
  • Analyze market trends and feedback to pinpoint growth areas and formulate impactful strategies.
  • Maintain a strategic view of the advertising ecosystem, understanding both business and consumer needs.
  • Quickly grasp key market profiles and stay informed about evolving user needs.
  • Clearly define and convey the value proposition of Amplify products to internal teams through training and collateral.
  • Assess the adoption and impact of released features, driving continuous improvement.

What you’ll bring

  • 4+ years of Product Marketing (Ad Tech/SaaS or Startup)
  • Strong analytics (quantitative & qualitative) with customer research
  • Proven track record in data-driven problem-solving and strategy
  • Proficiency in presentation skills and comfort presenting to and communicating with senior leadership
  • Proficient in media/digital advertising
  • Excellent communication & creativity

The annual base pay range for this position is $160,000.00-$180,000.00. The actual amount offered may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, job-related knowledge, skills, and abilities. In addition to salary, you may be eligible for an equity package, as well as our competitive benefits and perks to support you and your family as part of Outbrain's total rewards package.
