Role Summary
MetaPhase Consulting is supporting a federal client to maintain and modernize data processing and visualization systems by leveraging open-source technologies following Agile. The application includes middleware microservices, front-end user interfaces, and backend databases/APIs. MetaPhase Consulting is seeking a Full Stack Developer with 3+ years of experience to join a cross-functional agile development team to deliver a custom application in support of a critical federal program. The developer will contribute to development tasks and activities which will include creating user interface (Vue JavaScript framework), core application logic (.NET/C#), and API/web services. The solution will be integrated with multiple external systems. The developer will be responsible for collaborating within an agile team (requirements, designers, testers) and client stakeholders (product owner, end-users) to understand user stories and implement assigned user stories.
What You Will Be Doing
- Collaborate with customer product owners and cross-functional agile team to support working sessions and to evaluate, define, and prioritize requirements/features/user stories.
- Contribute to technical research/analysis of user stories and participate in agile ceremonies including backlog grooming and sprint planning.
- Complete assigned user stories by designing and developing new features/components or major enhancements to existing software while ensuring compliance Cyber Security and Federal IT security standards (i.e., NIST) as well as Section 508 accessibility requirements.
- Conduct unit testing and contribute to set up of automated testing while collaborating with testers to address found issues/bugs, and support team with documentation required by the client.
- Support demos and provide technical support to end-users for UAT and/or production issues.
What We Need From You (Required)
- Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience supporting custom software development efforts.
- Recent (past 1-2 years) hands-on experience with C# and Vue.
- Experience with front-end technology (TypeScript, CSS3, HTML5 and third-party libraries such as jQuery and Vue).
- Experience with SQL and JavaScript.
- Experience with developing applications and APIs using Microsoft’s .NET framework.
- Experience with collaborative software development (e.g., Jenkins, Git).
- Comfortable developing in highly collaborative agile development environment (i.e., user stories, iterative development, continuous integration, continuous delivery, shared ownership, test-driven development, etc.).
- Solid communication skills and collaborative approach with clients, team members and partners.

Remote – occasional meetings in the Washington, DC metro area.

Bachelor’s Degree Preferred.
Clearance Level
Active Public Trust Clearance (or ability to obtain Public Trust Clearance).
Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is 90-110k.
