SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE OF ROLE:
The key purpose of the role is to provide procurement support to growth projects; develop and realize local procurement strategy in the countries of presence; develop and realize decarbonization strategy; develop and realize strategy for Digital Technology and Professional Services procurement.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Global projects commercial support:
- Support Global Projects study directors in sizing the potential assets to be developed for all pre-feasibility work.
- Prime contracting (negotiations with EPCMs) for large scale projects and engineering service agreements.
ESG:
- Define and implement local content strategy (incl deployment of new local content teams) across countries of presence.
- Work with external affairs (e.g., Minerals commissions, other regulatory authorities) on bringing national vendors in countries of presence.
- Provide support to decarb initiatives, set targets, control and reduce Scope 3 emissions.
Corporate procurement team and strategic support for Digital Technology and professional services:
- Contract administration of Corp procurement.
- Provide commercial support and define and realize procurement strategy for professional services.
- Provide commercial support and define and realize procurement strategy for Digital Technology.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum BA in Business related field. MBA preferred.
REQUIRED GENERAL KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 10 years business experience in supply chain management and demonstrated managerial proficiency. Experience in a diverse workforce and within a dynamic mining environment.
Sound practical understanding of the entire mining value chain:
- Experience in providing commercial support to large capital projects in mining.
- Experience in category management.
- Experience in developing decarb strategies, establishing local content and socio-economic development initiatives.

- Computer Literate (Outlook, Internet, MS Office- Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent Organizational and Project Management skills.
- Excellent Communication Skills (both written and verbal).

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5pm. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
COMPENSATION:
$183,674.40- $262,392.00.
