The Vice President of Business Development is responsible for expanding Network's business by selling corporate account, distribution contracts to diverse customer segments and achieving new, profitable sales for the direct benefit of Network distributors. The sales leader is charged with leading a team of sales professionals that will target and close new corporate account business, while maintaining/growing a large base business. The ideal candidate has a strong background in corporate account selling and working with senior level decision makers. They will have a unique ability to build relationships and develop networks, along with highly developed account management skills, and are eager to offer solutions to help individuals and teams work collaboratively together.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of sales directors in achieving sustained sales growth, implementing innovative sales strategies and tactics to meet growth goals and drive success for Network
  • Navigate the complexities of the engagement and coordination of the constituents involved in managing accounts: Network staff, distributors and suppliers
  • Create mutual value with and for our Member Distributors, including profitability and growth
  • Influence and implement a revenue and profitability growth incentive model that includes accountability for sales metrics on new business and retention.
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales roadmap with key customers, incorporating financial objectives, technology objectives and a shared strategic plan
  • Proven ability to work through ambiguous situations, taking ownership of business results, gathering and analyzing information, developing alternative solutions, and working effectively across departments to solve problems
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, Information Technology and other internal functions to ensure seamless execution and alignment
  • Implement and manage strategic/consultative selling techniques and large account management strategies
  • Successfully manage the administrative and business functions of creating/delivering sales budgets, customers presentations, business reviews, and managing annual travel and expense budgets
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • Bachelor's Degree required; MBA or master's degree preferred, or equivalent job-related experience is required
  • 10+ years of proven success in building, training and developing a successful team of sales leaders
  • Experience in a distribution environment a plus
  • Strong ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across departments to develop and execute goals and customer strategies required
  • Lead a global sales team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce.com
  • Strategic and Consultative Selling experience
