Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

“NOTE: If selected for this position, you are required to perform ALL work within a commutable distance of your assigned Worksite Location. Three days a week onsite, Tues, Wed, Thurs, with Monday and Friday being remote”

Red Oak Technologies is seeking a QA POS Automation Engineer for Sunnyvale, CA or Austin, TX . This is a 12-month Contract with possible extensions.

Responsibilities:

• Testing eCommerce POS services
• Manual testing & Automation Testing with Selenium- including test planning and daily / weekly report preparations
• Diagnosing failed tests and writing code to automate test cases.
• Test Case Designing
• Execution and result publish on daily build basis
• Defect management
• Execute test cases on assigned feature areas as defined by the hybrid feature teams.
• Issue reporting, bug filing and regression identification.
• Execution, Result Analysis and Reporting
• Conducting end to end Sanity, Regression and Smoke testing
• Execute automation scripts and run test manually
• Maintenance of test results and artifacts for future reference

Required Skills:

• Must have experience in QA Automation with an Enterprise company
• 5+ years of professional Software QA, with focus on e-commerce or Retail, Point of Sale (POS) testing
• Selenium Automation and API experience is mandatory
• Strong experience developing and implementing test plans & test cases.
• Strong experience performing manual testing
• Strong experience implementing QA process and methodologies
• Retail or Online Store background
• Good team and people skills
• Excellent oral/written communication skills
• Able to host status meeting and ad hoc working sessions
• Able to work independently under pressure and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
• Able to work with cross-functional teams to build and deliver a project.
• Able to collaborate with business partners, developers, and various support teams to troubleshoot and resolve defects and issues.
• Able to coordinate end to end validation with various backend systems and vendors
• Must be comfortable leading and doing manual and automation work.
• Communication skills a must.
• Must have hands on automation experience with Selenium and API.
