Member Services Coordinator
Purpose or role of this position at Morehouse
Member Services Coordinator (MSC) assists the staff and leadership team with a variety of tasks and projects that supports the mission of the Morehouse College National Alumni Association (MCNAA).
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with arranging events, such as meetings, seminars, and board meetings.
  • Help develop positive relationships with partners, vendors and others that will help support the mission and goals of the organization.
  • Learn how to maintain an organized filing system of paper and electronic documents.
  • Help supervise the coordination and engagement of other student volunteers and/or work study students.
  • Schedule meetings and appointments and manage itineraries.
  • Help coordinate executive communication, including taking calls, responding to emails and interfacing with alumni.
  • Prepare internal and external documents for Executive Leadership Team and Board members as requested.
  • Develop and sustain a level of professionalism among staff, executive leadership, and students.
  • Uphold a strict level of confidentiality.

General Qualifications
  • Minimum of 6 months prior volunteer or work experience.
  • Proficiency following directions and collaborating with others to complete tasks.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and positive attitude.
  • Some exposure working in an Office and interacting with adults and leaders.
  • Some experience communicating and presenting information to others.
  • At least 6 months working on team projects.
  • Some level of proficiency or willingness to learn Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Eventbrite, CRM.
  • Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills with proven multi-tasking abilities.
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills
  • Friendly and professional demeanor
