DescriptionThe AWS Finance team provides end-to-end financial support for this multi-billion dollar business, driving AWS to be the leader in customer experience while delivering best cost. You will be responsible for coordinating and liaison with the Central FP&A on behalf of the Support Business Unit finance org. You will have ownership to how the organization plans and forecasts annual Revenue, Headcount and budget on a global basis. You will be the finance expert responsible for variance analysis and driving key financial metrics. You will partner across the BU finance teams to drive forecasting, financial analysis, reporting, and key financial decisions. You will also define and maintain internal finance controls for transactions and processes. This role will also support ad-hoc analysis and reporting. This is a highly visible role as your outputs are included in month end packages that go to senior leadership and decision makers.The FP&A team is responsible for managing the financial rhythms of the business, including the annual operating plan, long range plan, regular forecast process, and for providing analytical support to senior management. You will help establish the pace of the finance team to ensure it delivers actionable insights in a timely manner.Key job responsibilitiesPartner with Support BU and GS Finance teams to meet finance objectives.Drive month end reporting and variance analysis of actual spend versus projection.Lead ad hoc analysis and month end financial commentary working cross functionally with BU finance, central finance, financial systems (TM1) and accounting teams.Ensure compliance with finance and accounting controls and systems.Monitor and enhance existing processes and controls.Basic Qualifications5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experienceBachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experiencePreferred Qualifications5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience6+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experienceAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market.
