Job Requirements / Description

The Manager, Design role is responsible for creating outstanding design work for TIAA across multiple touchpoints and audiences. This individual will produce work for both Institutional and Consumer audiences that will be distributed through a range of channels from digital display advertising to brochures and events. The role calls for a designer with the flexibility to create modern social media posts, engaging brochures/flyers, evocative display ads, powerful email headers, clean and powerful PowerPoint slides, and professional event signage.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Execute on creative concepts through design that compels action in its intended audiences.
  2. Collaborate with team members and creative leadership.
  3. Design and update a full spectrum of design projects, including PowerPoint slides.
  4. Ensure all project requests are met and effectively prioritized.
  5. Work with offshore team members to ensure seamless project handoff to maximize speed.
  6. Manage projects and tasks through WorkFront project management system.
  7. Manage design files and assets.

Educational Requirements

  • University (Degree) Preferred.

Work Experience

  • 3+ Years Required; 5+ Years Preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Sedentary Work.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of marketing design experience including building a brand, overseeing brand guidelines, standards, and visual identity.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of marketing design experience including building a brand, overseeing brand guidelines, standards, and visual identity.
  • Demonstrated track record of design, with samples.
  • Demonstrated understanding of modern, digital design.
  • High degree of proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, and PowerPoint.
  • Dynamically manages workload and priorities on a day-to-day, hour-to-hour basis to ensure all project requests are met and effectively prioritized, despite a heavy workload.
  • Experience in financial services.
  • Experience with content management systems.
  • Works with high degree of urgency on tasks and is highly responsive to partner requests at all levels.
  • Design-first mindset.
  • Digital native.
  • Strong organization and file management.
