Job Title: Digital Product Info Systems Co-Op
Scope:
This position will support three channels of work:
- New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Product Life Cycle Management (LCM)
- Internal DPI Process Improvement.
This position will support Johnson & Johnson Vision, based out of:
- Surgical Vision (Irvine, CA)
SECTION 1: JOB POSITION SUMMARY
This co-op position will seek to challenge an aspiring engineer who is passionate about the Healthcare industry. Selected candidate(s) will gain a working knowledge of healthcare Digital Product Information systems and tools, amongst other topics. Candidates with critical thinking, problem solving, and enthusiastic mindsets are preferred.
SECTION 2: DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Incumbent will develop and will provide analytical, planning and project management support for selected US and international regulatory and customer contractual compliance projects related to UDI/GDSN/e-IFUs/e-PILs.
Main areas of responsibility:
- Supporting and leading project deliverables delegated to co-op from DPI team leads.
- Support assessment of system capabilities and collaborate with IT on data modeling, system innovation and implementation to achieve timely compliance and scalable solutions for future regulations.
- Perform data, technology, and business activities that drive UDI compliance to Global regulation.
- Collaborate with new product teams to meet Digital Product Information related requirements.
- Conduct data analyses, reporting and processing through multiple systems.
- Work cross functionally to develop new processes and SOPs and train key personnel on them.
- Enhancement of soft skills and hard skills to drive towards mastering of the above functions and responsibilities.
- End of co-op presentation portraying portfolio of work outcomes.
SECTION 3: EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
Minimum education required for competent performance:
- B.A./B.S. in engineering or scientific field required.
Minimum experience (number of month/years and type of work experience beyond formal education) required for competent performance:
- Ability to understand needs of stakeholders and communicate needs and wants to accomplish work deliverables efficiently.
- Passion for the healthcare industry.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Ability to build trust-based cross functional partnerships.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Leadership skills, e.g., showcasing the above qualifying attributes.
