Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (2 HYBRID POSITIONS)
Job Overview: As a Data Scientist at Maverc Technologies, you will be part of a highly skilled and dynamic team focused on developing multi-intelligence and multi-domain systems, with expertise in object and activity-based models within the intelligence community. You will directly support national efforts to combat chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) threats by leveraging Integrated Biosurveillance (IB) for early detection and warning. Your work will enhance situational awareness and support critical decision-making during health-related incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, develop, test, and support informatics and data science solutions across a variety of technical use cases.
- Apply analytical methodologies to identify data-related challenges, implement effective solutions, and assess performance outcomes.
- Document and present requirements, design alternatives, and findings to team members and clients in a clear and concise manner.
- Develop strategic, baseline data modeling processes and accurately determine cause-and-effect relationships.
- Leverage integrated development environments, data integration, data visualization, and data mining and analysis tools.
- Maintain and guide the development of common libraries and tools used across multiple teams.
- Assist in formulating strategies to achieve rapid prototyping for innovative solutions.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Active Secret Security Clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree with 7-10 years of experience, or Master’s degree with 5 years of experience.
- Proficiency in one or more scripting languages, such as Python or R.
- Strong expertise in one or more big data programming languages, such as Python or Java.
- Experience in AI/ML model development, containerization, and productization.
- Knowledge graph construction and reasoning experience, including experience with property graph or RDF model frameworks.
- Experience with Elasticsearch and related indexing technologies.
- Prior experience in data analytics or big data research, with a significant share of experience supporting military or intelligence community customers.
- Familiarity with open-source data sources (PAI) and/or forensic media (DOMEX).
- Experience developing predictive algorithms.
- Experience in cybersecurity or network security operations.
- Familiarity with social network analysis, supply chain analysis, forensic accounting, pattern of life analysis, natural language processing, social media analysis, classification algorithms, and/or image processing.
- Ability to blend analytical methodologies and leverage COTS/GOTS/OS tools in unconventional ways.
