Senior Network Engineer

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network engineering and support, with expertise in various networking protocols and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust network solutions that meet organizational needs.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability.
• Configure and maintain routing protocols such as BGP, as well as SSL and HTTPS for secure communications.
• Provide network support for various systems, including VPNs and FTP services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies into the existing infrastructure.
• Document network configurations, processes, and procedures for future reference.
• Ensure compliance with ITIL best practices in network management.
• Conduct regular system administration tasks on openSUSE environments.

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role with a focus on network support.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies including BGP, SSL, HTTPS, VPNs, FTP, and system administration.
• Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and best practices in IT service management.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $89,977.00 - $95,224.00 per year
