Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales and Event Lead to manage and grow sales for two premier restaurants in downtown Detroit. You will be responsible for driving revenue through private dining sales, corporate events, and special occasions. You will actively source new business opportunities, build and maintain client relationships, and coordinate with restaurant staff and the events team to ensure successful event execution.

What You’ll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities)

  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan to drive revenue growth and meet/exceed sales targets.
  • Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, third-party services, and trade publications.
  • Referral Networking: Collaborate with Sales Navigator and established partnerships to generate referral leads, along with local hotels.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare and present compelling business proposals to current and potential clients.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners, optimizing existing accounts.
  • Performance Reporting: Provide weekly reports on sales activities, performance metrics, inventory and revenue.
  • Market Research: Stay up to date with industry trends and competitive landscape to inform strategic sales and event decisions.
  • Post-Event Analysis: Conduct post-event reviews to assess performance, gather insights, and improve future events.
  • Policy Compliance: Ensure the company's policies and procedures are properly executed.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with event team and marketing team to assist with ad placements and promotional activities.
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as required.

Your Success With Us Requires These Qualifications

  • 3+ years of sales and events experience in the restaurant industry
  • Experience using CRM (Triple seat) and Sales Navigator.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • Sales, promotion and event experience preferred.
  • Must be self-motivated and guest focused.
  • Excellent organizational/time management skills.
  • Results driven and able to meet deadlines.
  • Familiar with touch screen POS systems including backend reports.

Working Conditions: Day and hours will vary dependent on scheduled events. All work is to be completed on property or in the corporate office.

  • Manual Dexterity: Skill in setting up and arranging items, such as furniture and decorations, often requiring careful and precise movements.
