Job Summary: Maintain food quality and make sure Back of the House has organized and clean shelves, coolers, freezers, counters, floors, and cooking equipment. Maintain operational excellence by assuring each task is completed in a timely and correct fashion.
Requirements:
1. Job Requirements:
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for up to 8 hours.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to work at quick, yet efficient and pace.
• Team-oriented, adaptable, dependable, and strong work ethic.
• Positive attitude, and coachable.
• Ability to positively communicate with guests and team members.
• Florida safeStaff certificate is a plus.
2. Reporting:
• BOH associate reports directly to cook.
• Report any unusual incidents or issues to Kitchen Manager.
Requirements:
Responsibilities:
• Prepare, cook, assemble, and present food safely, quickly, and efficiently, meeting Salem's Fresh Eats standards.
• Be knowledgeable of the assignments for all kitchen stations, including grill, fry, breading, assembling boards, and food prep.
• Prepare all catering menu items.
• Stock kitchen inventory as needed.
• Keep the kitchen neat, clean, and orderly at all times.
• Keep up to date with new products rolled out by Salem's Fresh Eats corporate.
• Work safely around kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues to the kitchen manager.
• Maintain personal knowledge by completing in-house training and stay up to date on any changes.
• Complete all opening or closing tasks as assigned.
• Adhere to health and safety codes.
• Ensure proper portioning.
