POSITION SUMMARY:
Assist Business Bankers, Relationship Managers and the Business Banking/Consumer Credit Manager in connection with small business loan activity; develop and analyze all types of credit information pertaining to small business loans; prepare line renewals and loan presentations; furnish information relative to credit inquiries; provide assistance to branch managers, as requested; coordinate work within the department, as well as, with other departments; comply with operating policies and procedures established for the small business and credit analysis function; communicate with appropriate personnel; respond to inquiries or requests for information; maintain appropriate records and provide assigned reports.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting preferred.
A minimum of one (1) year experience in spreading and analyzing financial statements (business & personal) and a good working knowledge of Credit Department practices and procedures.
Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; visual and auditory skills; moderate interpersonal relations and communication skills; thorough knowledge of current lending and loan review regulations and banking regulations, procedures, and operations; proficient ability to analyze and interpret financial statements; proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of spreadsheet and database software; valid driver's license required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Develop credit information from various sources for use by Business Banking/Consumer Credit Manager, in making lending decisions on new, renewal, or extension loans;
  • Prepare cash flows and compile supporting financial information;
  • Analyze financial information and related credit information to determine credit worthiness of borrower;
  • Make recommendations to appropriate personnel on the granting or denying of loans;
  • Prepare sufficient information to document recommendations;
  • Provide thorough documentation of all financial analysis work, including ratios and other related information;
  • Ensure that all credit analysis activities are conducted in accordance with prescribed lending policy;
  • Prepare loan presentations for the appropriate approval authority;
  • Assure that up-to-date financial statements and other required items are current and on file.
