Job description:
Capgemini Engineering is looking for an Engagement Manager for managing projects in Aerospace and Defense Industry.
The main objective is to reach operational excellence for all our projects and to ensure the right performance with customer satisfaction. Scope includes program management for projects in Systems Engineering and digital continuity domain for one or more Aerospace & Defense projects.
This position is under Capgemini Engineering- North America Delivery Organization and would report to Delivery Head of Aerospace and Defence delivery unit.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage contract requirements, be the focal point for our customer on this project portfolio.
- Coordinate internal resources with Engineering Manager, Accountable for timely deliveries, on quality, within scope and budget.
- Ensure resource availability and allocation. Develop project objectives, involving all relevant resources and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Develop a detailed project plan and monitor/control project execution. Use appropriate verification techniques to manage project scope, schedule and costs changes.
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques. Report and bring up to management as needed.
- Perform risk management to minimize the impact of project risks.
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients and all stake-holders.
- Generate and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Understand the technical scope and be able to optimize the way of working.
- Manage aerospace projects Systems Engineering projects, with a complete view from product life cycle.
- Technical knowledge of mechanical design process and stress analysis for airframe.
- Service catalogue mode, with close tracking of efficiency and profitability.
- Familiar with PM commercial tools as JIRA, MS Project, Sharepoint.
- Used to work in trans-national projects with team based on different time zones.
Required Skills
- Engineering background, preferably in following engineering fields: Mechanical, Aerospace, Systems Engineering.
- Knowledge and experience in PLM systems and digital-continuity preferred.
- Experience working in engineering consultancy environment and/or Aircraft OEM preferred.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
- More than 10 years’ demonstrated experience in an engineering field.
- Project management experience in the aeronautic industry.
- Due to applicable export control laws and regulations and confidentiality clauses applicable to US defense Industry, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national.
