Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experienceThis Metro Denver Regional position requires coverage of Sterile Processing Departments at Highlands Ranch Hospital, Broomfield Hospital, Longs Peak Hospital and/or Anschutz Medical Campus.Summary:Develops and provides services related to the orientation, continuing education, and assessment of Sterile Processing Technicians.Responsibilities:Collaborates with department leaders and staff to assess learning needs and competencies of Sterile Processing staff.Develops, coordinates and implements competencies for new hire orientation.Assesses and documents the progress of new hires throughout orientation. Provides remediation if necessary.Develops, coordinates and implements required competencies, resources and continuing education for Sterile Processing staff.Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.Requirements:Certified Registered Central Services TechnicianCertified Sterile Processing & Distribution TechnicianHigh School diploma or GED.Required Licensure/Certification: CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) through Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) or CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing Distribution Technician) through CBSPD within 1 year. Preferred: CRCST at hire for those with direct sterile processing experience.2 years of experience in Sterile Processing or as a Surgical Technologist in an operating room.We improve lives.
