EXAMPLES OF WORK TO BE PERFORMED:
- Maintain a high standard of safety, conduct, and job performance.
- Complete work orders with supervision and direction related to storm drain maintenance, operate street sweeper appropriately to maintain clean streets, and operate outdoor power equipment maintaining vegetation in uneven terrain environments.
- Use preventative maintenance and repair procedures to extend equipment life, and aid in the reliability and effectiveness of all utility field operation departments and activities.
- Demonstrate the ability to use technical skills and knowledge during the performance of assigned duties.
- Demonstrate the proficient use of hand tools during the performance of assigned duties.
- Identify jobsite hazards and take preventive action for the protection of crew members and the general public.
- Relay any customer complaint to the Crew Leader or Field Supervisor.
- Perform other tasks as may be required.
- Must be available to work nights, weekend, and holidays beyond normal shift as required
- Physical functions are essential to this position.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to assist in completion of drainage, street sweeping, and mowing maintenance activities.
- Ability to safely work around heavy equipment and aide coworkers with completing assigned tasks and duties.
- Ability to effectively communicate with superiors and crewmembers regarding assigned task and the proper use of tools and equipment.
- Ability to learn proper operation of assigned equipment for assigned tasks.
- Ability to perform duties other than those previously listed as may be required.
- High School Diploma or GED,
- Valid State of Texas Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
- A minimum of one-year of related maintenance experience.
- Evidence of the experience, knowledge, skill, ability, and responsibility necessary to perform job requirements.
