As the Vice President of Finance , you’ll play a critical role in shaping the financial future of Brownells. You'll be the storyteller who translates our financial performance into clear, actionable insights that drive our strategy forward. Your ability to build and nurture relationships will be key as you work closely with our executive team to align financial operations with our broader company vision.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and oversee all financial activities, including treasury, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Tell the story of our financial results in a way that aligns with our business strategy.
  • Build strong relationships with our executive leadership team and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maximize financial performance .
  • Foster a culture of financial excellence and accountability within the team.

What We’re Looking For:

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and experienced financial leader with at least 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience . You’ll need a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance (MBA preferred) and a strong track record in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting . Experience with products and inventory management is crucial, as you’ll need to understand the complexities of managing inventory levels, cost of goods sold, and the financial implications of supply chain decisions. Experience in building and leading high-performing teams is essential, along with the ability to synthesize financial data into clear, actionable strategies. We’re looking for someone who is a natural storyteller , capable of connecting our financial results to our broader company strategy, and who excels at relationship-building with both internal and external stakeholders.

This role is primarily onsite in Grinnell, Iowa , during normal business hours Monday-Friday, with flexibility for remote days as needed. The salary range for this role starts in the $190Ks .
