Our law firm is growing and we are looking for a sharp family attorney who will zealously represent our clients in all areas of family law. You’ll assist individuals in a variety of situations such as navigating prenuptial agreements and attending court hearings for divorce, alimony/spousal support, and child support. The prime candidate will have experience with a range of sensitive legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence, and be able to maintain composure, negotiate, and argue effectively even in emotional and high-stress situations. Responsibilities:

  • Ability to manage hearings, trials, and case proceedings
  • Enjoy taking cases to trial or pursuing aggressive, early settlements
  • Must be able to manage a large docket
  • Must be able to draft pleadings, motions, contracts, marital settlement agreements, judgements, and orders for a high volume of cases
  • Maintain client files to ensure they are properly organized and up to date
  • Handle the division of marital assets, including real estate, during divorce proceedings as needed
  • Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs analyzing the situation then strategizing and deciding on a proper course of action
  • Communicate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move through the civil litigation process


Qualifications:

  • Proven record of success in advocating for plaintiffs and defendants
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in the state of Texas
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in family law practice
  • Strong understanding of Texas family law code, statutes, and procedures
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to client matters


Job Type: Full-time


Pay: $86,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
