The Financial Analyst will analyze past financial performance to predict future performance and to advise the company on its financial strategy.

Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Produce monthly reports, which include key metrics, financial results, and variance reporting as compared to budget and forecasts.
2. Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, income statement forecasts etc) taking into account company’s goals and financial standing.
3. Develop financial plans and reports for organizational leaders.
4. Create financial models based on analyses to support organizational decision making.
5. Develop automated reporting and forecasting tools for more efficient use of data.
6. Analyze industry trends and make recommendations based on those trends.
7. Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking and process analysis.
8. Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance.
9. Coordinate the annual and quarterly budgeting and forecasting processes.
10. Drive process improvement, automation and policy development initiatives that impact the function.
11. Evaluate capital expenditures and depreciation.
12. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
2. Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
3. Thorough understanding of methods of systems analysis and the principles, design, and procedural methods used in big data analysis.
4. Thorough understanding of project management.
5. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
6. Strong working knowledge of Excel and financial modeling.
7. Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
8. Attention to accuracy and detail required.
9. Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications.
10. Outstanding presentation, reporting and communication skills.
11. Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance and information analysis.

Education and Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or CMA a plus.
2. 2-4 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis or other related fields.
