The British Library has a rare opportunity for an Application Specialist in our Ingest and Preservation team, based in Boston Spa (Wetherby) or St Pancras (London), with a hybrid working pattern.

If you work for us, you will be helping to support and develop British Library services and getting involved with many exciting new projects.

About you:

  1. Experience of supporting, configuring, and monitoring third-party/packaged or bespoke applications
  2. Experience of operational acceptance testing and deploying changes to production systems using appropriate controls
  3. Excellent communicator with a demonstrable ability to work as part of a team to agreed customer service levels and SLAs
  4. Proven problem-solving skills using a logical and considered approach
  5. Proven systems analysis and documentation skills
  6. Experience of data migration and file management
  7. Experience of supporting applications in a Windows environment
  8. Knowledge and experience of SQL database querying
