Experience: 2-5 Years in Civil Litigation
Role Overview: This role involves directly handling all aspects of civil litigation in both State and Federal courts, with a focus on responding to discovery. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, providing immediate and effective support to clients and other attorneys. Experience in product liability is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial case assessments and investigations.
- Respond to discovery requests.
- Review, evaluate, and analyze pertinent documents.
- Prepare for trial (trial experience is a plus).
- Research and analyze cases, statutes, and secondary materials cited in briefings.
Qualifications for Discovery Associate:
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Excellent interaction and communication skills with executives, attorneys, staff, and clients.
- Exceptional analytical, writing, and research skills.
- Proficiency in document management systems and time record-keeping software.
- Aggressive advocacy skills.
- CA State Bar membership in good standing.
