As a Field Service Engineer for Agilent, you will work at a variety of labs, so having an appetite for continuously learning about new instruments, software and consumables is key. Applying your communication skills, creativity and can-do attitude is essential. The ability to help with solving customer problems and a commitment to deliver the highest-level of customer service is how you will build customer success.

Your Role:

You will be responsible for supporting our customers with on-site installation, implementation, maintenance and repair of Agilent instrument and software solutions.

  • Installs and optimizes hardware/software/network products and configurations at customer sites

  • Diagnoses and resolves product performance problems

  • Performs maintenance and repairs

  • Ensures customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations, which may impact product performance

  • Proactively responds to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers' business

  • Deliver fully integrated solutions, which may include peripherals, communications, operating systems and applications software

  • Train customers in the solutions

Job Requirement: Meet Agilent approved customer/vendor credentialing requirements necessary to gain site access, unless prohibited by law. These requirements vary by customer/vendor and may include but are not limited to post-employment background checks, various forms of drug testing, vaccinations, fingerprinting, proof of valid identification, and/or adherence to customer-specific substance abuse programs. Your consent to participate in customer requested screening is a requirement of this position.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's within a science field -- e.g. chemistry, analytical chemistry biochemistry, biotechnology or similar highly preferred; may consider applicants with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with expertise working with Chromatography and analytical instrumentation, ideally including repair, maintenance and/or troubleshooting

  • Ability to solve, high impact problems related to product availability; typically, system/ solution-focused

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong customer relationship building skills are essential

  • Ability to travel 35% of the time

  • A valid driver's license is required for this position

Additional Details

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely. Applications for this job will be accepted until at least October 9, 2024 or until the job is no longer posted. In the US, this position is eligible for choice of company car or reimbursement for personal vehicle usage. The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $34.21 - $53.45/hr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
