Ramirez is seeking banking professionals to add to our growing Public Finance banking team. The Firm will consider candidates for the positions of Analyst, Associate, or Vice President based on qualifications and demonstrated experience. Junior investment bankers provide analytical and quantitative support and generally assist more senior bankers in providing investment banking services to clients in the public sector. AtRamirez, all bankers arean integral partof the financing team, assume significant amounts of responsibility, and actively participate in all aspects of transactions.


The successful candidate(s) will be working out of the Firm’s Los Angeles office.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside senior bankers in preparing proposals and/or coordinating responses
  • Draft client presentation materials and memos
  • Update, create and review debt profiles for target clients
  • Perform financial modeling and cash flow analyses to evaluate debt financing alternatives
  • Manage deal processes including due diligence, pricing review, and compliance checks, spot problems, recommend solutions, and take ownership of work
  • Facilitate, attend, and participate in meetings and conference calls
  • Format, print and bind professional-looking documents for meetings
  • Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures


Qualifications:

  • B.S. or B.A. in finance, economics, math, public administration, or a related field is preferred
  • Experience in investment banking, municipal credit, or public sector financing is strongly preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Ability to use DBC Finance, Bloomberg, SDC Platinum, and other relevant applications is desirable
  • Must be FINRA Series SIE, S52, and S63 licensed or for positions requiring less experience, willing to become licensed within 6 months from the date of employment
