The Tax Manager will manage North and South America's direct and indirect taxes. Internally, the Tax Manager will participate in business operations and planning and ensure that tax arrangements and files are implemented appropriately in business coverage. Externally, the manager must manage government agencies' or tax authorities' requirements and audits to ensure tax risk meets industry standards and report company tax information to meet compliance and management requirements, ensuring accurate disclosure of operation results.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Partnership with CPA firms to file corporate income tax returns for North and South America BenQ group entities
  • Canada federal GST/HST, Quebec sales tax, BC PST, Saskatchewan PST, Manitoba RST filing
  • Sales tax filing in each state of the United States
  • To oversee VAT and GST filing for Mexico and Brazilian entities with authorized third-party CPA firms
  • To Work with the BenQ-Qisda group HQ tax team to make CBCR disclosure and group-related tax issues
  • Transfer pricing monitoring
  • Prepare month-end tax provision calculations for the regional finance head to review and for the NS accounting team to book
  • To register tax IDs per business operation needs
  • Regularly arrange tax self-health checks to ensure all tax compliance is being followed. If any tax risk is found, solution proposals to the regional finance head are required
  • To work with HQ stock affairs management team in maintaining companies' titles, registration, company business licenses or certificates, changing directors, and company status filing in North and South America
  • To be one of the task forces in group annual report or ESG reporting
Required Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • 10+ years of professional tax, controlling, treasury, or accounting experience.
  • Multi nation's working experience to handling cultural differences
  • Fluent in French or Portuguese, speaking and reading for tax filing and audit needs
  • Well-organized and well-disciplined in handling routine operation tasks
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail across all responsibilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (MS 360, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, in particular)
  • Willing to have overseas business trips for business or audit needs
  • Strong research and problem-solving skills
  • Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • A sense of urgency and ability to be proactive and work diligently and independently

Compensation:
Based on experience, we offer a competitive base salary and a bonus
