Job Purpose
The New York Stock Exchange, a subsidiary of Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. (ICE) presents an opportunity for a full-time Director of Exchange Traded Products. The successful candidate will be results-oriented and highly motivated and will work autonomously to provide strategic leadership and management of the industry's largest ETP listings business, a significant revenue line at the New York Stock Exchange.
The individual will generate revenue by increasing listing revenue, trading revenue, and other revenues earned directly or indirectly from asset managers across the broad ETP/CEF/SPAC industry who build and list exchange traded products. The Director will collaborate with internal colleagues and senior management of the NYSE and ICE, as well as current and prospective issuers of ETFs, ETPs, Closed-end Funds, and SPACs, the trading community (including traders and technology teams), the ETP marketing and educational support community, members of the compliance community, third-party vendors, NYSE Regulation, the SEC and FINRA, to rapidly seize opportunities for growth and to deliver strong results.
Responsibilities
- Be the "voice" and "face" of the NYSE ETP listings business: frequent appearances at conferences, issuer events, etc. Represent NYSE/ICE on panels and professional events and associations. Host NYSE executive level tours, events, and opening and closing bell tours regularly.
- Work with third party vendors and internal divisions to negotiate priorities and costs to enhance technical, legal, and rule support for securing ETP/CEF/SPAC listings for NYSE in a highly challenging competitive environment.
- Create and implement new, alongside the support of current, educational industry content, inclusive of hosting webinars, in-person speaking events, podcasts, and other media channels on and off camera in support of the growth of the ETP industry.
- Develop and build new relationships across the educational, media, and marketing industries in support of industry growth and early channel identification for new business development.
- Meet and present to C-suite and Fund Board Members as part of education and client outreach for new and existing asset managers.
- Obtain regulatory approval to list and trade new ETP product types along with other associated enhancements.
- Work with NYSE Legal and Regulation to streamline and enhance our ETP ruleset to be business-friendly while maintaining appropriate investor protections.
- Develop the core positioning and messaging for the sales and execution efforts.
- Provide guidance and build upon NYSE's extensive IP portfolio in the ETP space. Working with NYSE Legal, outside counsel, senior management, and through outside relationships, secure long-term licenses and maximize the value of the portfolio.
- Develop sales tools and collateral that are concise, persuasive, and on-point.
- Own the sales and implementation process.
- Be a subject matter expert and provide competitive differentiation through excellent advice and on-site trainings to current and prospective asset managers.
Knowledge and Experience
- B.S. in Business, Finance, Economics or related field preferred.
- Graduate/MBA or other professional training (e.g. CFA) preferred.
- Knowledge of the 1940 Act, 1933/34 Acts and applicable SEC industry rules and regulations.
- ETF sales and marketing experience preferred.
- Industry experience at an Exchange or major asset manager required.
- 5 or more years of directly relevant experience.
- Demonstrated relationship and product management skills with increasing levels of leadership and operational results preferred.
Schedule
This role offers work from home flexibility of one day per week.
New York Base Salary Range
The expected base salary for this role if located in New York City is between 179,600 - 266,600 USD. The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange's incentive compensation. While we provide this range as general guidance, at ICE we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual.
