Role Description

This is an exciting opportunity to fill an opening for a full-time associate attorney focused on Business Litigation and Transactions. The associate attorney will be responsible for significant roles in ongoing litigation matters (discovery and trial opportunities) and lead roles in some matters. This position also promises direct involvement in significant transactional matters. This role involves skills including providing legal advice, conducting research, legal writing, motion drafting, court appearances, and direct responsibility for matters including, business law, corporate law, trademark, copyright, trade secret, internet law and privacy. This is an "on-site" full-time position with opportunities to accommodate occasional remote work.


Qualifications

  • 3 - 5 years of civil litigation experience
  • at least 1 year federal litigation and at least 1 year state litigation
  • exposure to business transactions / business formation (will train)
  • Outstanding legal research and writing
  • Negotiation and settlement skills
  • Experience in Business Law, Corporate Law, Intellectual Property and Internet Law.
  • Strong knowledge of legal principles and procedures
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional commitment to ethics and integrity
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school (required)
  • Current California Bar membership is required
