The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker who has strong analytical and problem solving skills with a proven ability to improve business processes and practices to reduce costs and increase efficiency. You should also be an intuitive leader who can develop our Product department and guide our product development efforts toward success.
This position is primarily responsible for the following:
- Establish the strategic direction of the company’s product development operations; executes this strategy in collaboration with company leadership.
- Lead, coach and support a highly effective team of Product Managers and Product Designers to foster a high-performance culture.
- Take a hands-on approach to the entire product development lifecycle; perform day-to-day product management to ensure successful, on-time releases; demonstrate ownership and accountability for the team’s delivery.
- Oversee the product process from development through production; proactively address and solve any issues and risks that arise.
- Implement processes and metrics to ensure that the team is extremely efficient and focused, and that products are market ready.
- Enable a culture of creativity, collaboration, speed, innovation and excellence while continuously elevating the quality and caliber of our product organization.
- Ability to understand a dynamic competitive landscape, synthesize customer feedback, and build and adopt a strategy that differentiates the Company in the market.
- Communicate with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders to identify and assess product and program requirements; apply this knowledge to support product development strategy.
- Develop, implement, and enforce key performance metrics, milestones, specifications, documentation and reporting requirements, and budgets.
- Determine the short and long-term Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for the Product Team and Company by factoring business, customer, and partner outcomes.
- Track and analyze product, program, and process costs.
- Oversee and facilitate cross-functional projects and teams.
- Communicate department, program, and project performance and process to senior leadership through periodic status reports and presentations.
- Ensure compliance with industry and legal regulations and best practices, and adherence to company processes and procedures.
- Maintain knowledge in developing trends and technologies in the industry.
- Drive new product development to support corporate growth rate.
- Work closely with senior management, Industry teams and category chairs to define and execute strategic product roadmaps for our multiple product categories.
- Communicate product status, key issues, and launch plans with Stage Gate Members.
- Work with category teams to identify gaps in product functionality and content offerings and maximize key product areas for development.
- Work closely with procurement and IT to ensure part number structures support system requirements, data extraction, and reporting needs.
- Control inventory levels in relation to sales while limiting exposure to obsolescence.
- Monitor and report on competitive landscape for threats and opportunities.
- Ensure that product costs and selling prices are aligned to meet contribution margin objectives.
- Oversee pricing and establish pricing guidelines for projects.
- Drive process improvement for projects requiring data collection and accurate communication.
- Manage design team for projects requiring illustrations and engineered product drawings.
- Coordinate product management efforts with Sales and Marketing to support corporate direction and initiatives.
- Recruit world-class product talent and participate in the recruiting flow including attracting, screening, and closing high caliber candidates.
- Effectively introduce and train team in the understanding of and use of new protocols and/or technologies.

Job Specifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 5 years management in a related field.
