Position SummaryThe Credit Analyst is responsible for evaluating creditworthiness, analyzing financial statements, managing credit risk and preparing credit reports to determine credit terms and limits. This role requires a strong understanding of financial analysis and risk assessment, as well as the ability to communicate findings effectively with strong attention to detail.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluates credit data and financial statements to determine creditworthiness.Prepares detailed credit reports with clear recommendations for loan approvals or denials.Identifies changes in customer financial conditions and analyzes financial trends, industry conditions, and economic data to assess risk.Collaborates with the AR Manager and other team members to gather necessary information for credit evaluations.Maintains accurate records of credit information and decisions and updates customer credit profiles regularly.Monitors customer accounts for delayed or missed payments and collaborate with the accounts receivable team to resolve issues.Communicates with customers to address credit concerns and negotiates payment plans if needed.Assists in the development and implementation of the company’s credit policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.Stays informed on industry trends and best practices in credit analysis.Follows bankruptcy laws to ensure proper documentation is filed.Partners with collection agencies to manage account placements as needed.Participates in training and other learning opportunites to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales and services and performs any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and/or abide by our core values.Education, Experience & QualificationsThe successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field with 2 to 5 years of proven experience in credit analysis, financial analysis, or a related field and strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and proficiency in financial modeling and utilizing analysis tools (Excel, financial software). Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
