LSSI is hiring a full-time Housing Locator , Monday through Friday 9am-5pm. The Housing Locator will cultivate relationships with area landlords and management companies, maintain a list of housing options, and maintain knowledge of area housing waitlists and supportive housing options. The Housing Locator will engage with Outreach Case Management staff to share knowledge and resources in order to assist clients in securing stable housing.

Essential Functions:
- Create and maintain a housing directory with landlord contacts.
- Identify available housing opportunities; develop and maintain landlord relationships; assist clients with the leasing process (making appointments to view units, advocating for clients, etc.).
- Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner and in accordance with requirements established by Medicaid, DHS, and other funding or regulatory bodies.
- Transportation of clients in personal vehicle and agency vehicle is required. Services will be provided in multiple locations.
- Adhere to ethical standards of treatment according to the NASW Code of Ethics.
- Comply with documentation and productivity standards.
- Familiarity with accreditation and licensure standards.
Position Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required. Associates or Bachelors is preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience providing housing management, housing location, or real estate services is preferred.
- Proficiency in EHR documentation and review.
- Familiarity with accreditation and licensure standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent communication, organization, presentation, and PC/computer skills (including proficiency with Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) along with other related software.
- Valid Illinois statutory and liability insurance coverage is required.
- Valid Driver’s License in good standing for the state of residency and insurance. Access to reliable transportation is required.
