Capstone IT is partnering with a top-rated Kansas City employer to provide a PHP Developer with expertise in Drupal. This hybrid role offers a mix of in-office collaboration (three days) and remote work (two days), ensuring a balanced work-life environment. This is a 6 month contract with potential for extension or conversion to hire.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Drupal-based websites and applications, with a focus on performance, scalability, and user experience.
  • Write clean, efficient PHP code in line with best practices and industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to keep projects on track.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and project managers, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Configure Drupal and enable seamless integration using "glue code" for interoperability.
  • Utilize PHP and related technologies, such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, to build robust solutions.
  • Implement web services (REST, SOAP) and version control (Git) where applicable.


Qualifications:

  • Experience with Drupal versions 8-10.
  • Familiarity with headless Drupal architecture.
  • Experience with Drupal Commerce or similar e-commerce modules.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • 5-8 years of PHP Development experience in a professional setting.


This position requires strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
