What You’ll Do
Reporting directly to the VP of Platform, the engineering team is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer who will thrive in a fast-paced remote environment. The ideal candidate for this role will contribute to the team's goal of delivering great technology using modern tools and platforms. This candidate should be truly excited about building great products and winning the unfair fight in Cyber.
What You’ll Bring:
Required:
- Expert knowledge of terraform or similar IaC framework
- Expert knowledge of cloud networking and security concepts
- Strong working knowledge of AWS (preferred) or equivalent cloud service provider
- Strong working knowledge of GitFlow concepts
Preferred:
- Strong working knowledge of Golang
- Strong working knowledge of advanced container concepts, container runtimes (docker, containerd) and container orchestration frameworks (kubernetes, openshift)
- Experience administering CI (continuous integration) build pipelines (jenkins, github actions)
- Experience administering CD (continuous delivery) tools and workflows (argo cd, flux)
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Attend daily and weekly engineering meetings
- Support the Blackpoint platform, engineering operations, and feature teams by designing, implementing, and monitoring Blackpoint cloud infrastructure
- Assist in the design, enhancement, and development of Blackpoint's Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) engineering processes
- Help increase engineering and development efficiencies through the application of automated, scalable technology that supports Blackpoint's Agile and Kanban workflows
- Test and assess implemented DevOps technologies and workflows
- Provide mentoring and guidance to others less experienced in areas of personal expertise
