GENERAL PURPOSE

This position will take the initiative to identify, develop recommendations, and assist management in the implementation of process improvements. This position shall ensure compliance with all Company accounting policies and regulations. This position will support various levels of management in a wide range of finance and accounting priorities.

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

* Review and evaluate Capital Expenditure Requests (CERFs) prior to submission to Divisional Management.

* Collaborate with Plant Controllers / Regional Controllers - assist in the development and maintenance of appropriate controls over divisional assets.

* Partner with Product Management, Marketing, and Operations to ensure a timely and accurate capital expenditures process. Employ CAPEX data in support of Operations reviews, Budget, Forecast, etc.

* Support FP&A and Operations Finance through the preparation and presentation of reports/materials for various financial and operating reviews.

* Organize divisional balance sheet improvement initiatives (Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable/Fixed Assets).

* Identify, develop, and support Finance Automation opportunities including the utilization of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools.

* Support Sales Controller and Commercial Finance with review and analysis of proposed pricing and marketing programs; review of effectiveness of the programs and recommendations for improvements.

* Develop and standardize processes to help evaluate Sales effectiveness actions.

* Support Internal Controller by monitoring existing controls for effectiveness.

* Assist with training functions as required on existing controls and implement new controls, as necessary.

* Assist with documentation of internal controls and the management of testing of controls - Audit testing for group compliance risks.

* Define & create reporting to track progress on division specific operating targets and goals.

* Special Projects as assigned.

* Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or concerns.

* Consistently support compliance by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the Company, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and the Company's policies and procedures.

* Understand workplace hazards and take steps to proactively prevent and report hazards or injuries in the workplace. Cooperate in Safety Programs, initiatives, and investigations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

* Proven knowledge and application of current accounting practices and standards to drive the Company to the next level.

* Possess advanced mathematical, analytical, and accounting skills.

* Ability to demonstrate strong leadership, management, and organizational skills.

* Proficient in the use of personal computers, Internet and Microsoft Office suite of software including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook (or related e-mail system).

* Strong presentation and communication skills both oral and written.

* Demonstrated ability working with minimal supervision and exercising judgment within generally defined policies in developing and implementing strategies for results.

* Self-starter with the ability to manage in a deadline driven environment.

* Ability to work in a team environment, and leverage additional resources as needed.

* Ability to demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and to appropriately prioritize workload based upon Company or departmental needs.

* Ability to multi-task and manage several projects through completion at one time while providing high attention to details.

* Proven ability to make sound decisions within established guidelines.

* Proven ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation, or government law.

* Must possess high degree of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information.

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

* Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/business management with five (5) years' progressive Accounting/Finance experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with SAP

* Experience with Esker

* Experience with Microsoft Automation tools

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required (for most of the working day) to sit and make coordinated movements of the fingers for using a keyboard.

* General office environment

* Long-distance or air travel as needed - not to exceed 10% travel.
