North Risk's Personal Lines #oneTEAM is currently seeking a driven and enthusiastic Account Manager. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with personal lines accounts, including homeowners, auto, personal umbrella, boat, and recreational vehicle insurance. Some service staff may also be involved in servicing farm, health and other coverages, depending on the individual office/agency's needs. Account managers work independently to advise and service client accounts.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through advising and responding to all correspondence in a quick and accurate manner.
- Includes answering questions regarding all lines of coverage, and assisting with plan and/or carrier changes, claims, and billing
- Provide advice and counsel on personal lines matters to assigned accounts.
- Review current insurance programs offering the right coverage at a competitive price.
- Support risk advisors by exercising independent judgement and discretion to:
- Analyze markets for competitive pricing and develop insurance solutions for current clients,
- Analyze quotes from carriers for accuracy,
- Evaluate and prepare renewal comparisons and policy proposals,
- Present proposals as needed,
- Communicate and educate clients on policies as needed,
- Evaluate and process client requests to ensure appropriate coverage is met,
- Resolve inquiries on service problems, billing and claims to ensure client satisfaction, and
- Receive and process new business, renewals, and cancellations.
- Schedule and participate in client meetings or agency service training meetings as necessary.
- Develop and maintain positive and effective relationships with partner insurance carriers.
- Enter activity and other relevant information into the company's software system(s) in accordance with company procedures.
- Follow all federal and state regulations, and best practices for avoiding errors and omissions.
- Continue professional development; pursue and maintain professional designations if applicable.
- Travel as necessary for company or training events.
- Perform miscellaneous projects and complete various tasks as requested by management
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Education, Experience, and Certifications
- High school degree or equivalent is required. Bachelor's degree is preferred, but not required.
- Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills.
- Customer service oriented and can work well with others.
- Previous insurance experience in personal lines.
- Ability to obtain a property and casualty insurance license.
