**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)
**Job Specialty:** Telemetry Float Pool
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** 12-hour Days, including 4 weekend shifts per schedule; first to float, could float to sister facilities
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years
**License:** Required for submission
**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
**Must-Have:** Must be able to titrate cardiac drips
**Job Description:**
- Auto offer based on clinical pre-screening.
- Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to signing the contract with two maximum attempts.
- Inability to pass the dysrhythmia exam will result in a six-month non-eligibility.
- Pass/fail Sim Lab required on day one of orientation. Failure results in a six-month non-eligibility.
- Will float between all Telemetry and Medical-Surgical units depending on skill level. Possible float to ICU and Cardiac Telemetry.
- Floating includes all Telemetry units, Medical-Surgical units, and various holding areas such as Cath Lab, ER, and observation floors.
- Potential to float between campuses, approximately 9 miles apart.
- Notification of campus and unit assignment given 1.5 hours before the shift start. Mid-shift floating may occur.
- Required to clock out and in when changing campuses.
- Work environment includes central telemetry with no vent requirements.
- Clinical staffing includes a charge nurse with no patient assignment and a clinical supervisor in management.
- Weekend work required every other weekend.
- Navy-colored scrubs are required.
- Common patient diagnoses include post-cath lab, post-vascular procedures, and general telemetry without pediatric patients.
- Orientation includes two days on the floor specific to the unit.
- Utilizes the Cerner charting system.
This position requires adaptability, attention to patient care standards, and the ability to float between various departments and facilities.
