At CSS, we help the families of Iowa successfully navigate and understand the importance of providing both financial and emotion support for their children and build relationships with the parents to ensure they are successful. Upon successful completion of the training period and with management approval, this position offers a hybrid work opportunity, working from the office as scheduled, and from home. This position is located at the Council Bluffs CSS office which is in the Omni Center Business Park near the historic 100 Block in Council Bluffs.Job Duties:Performs complex case management for parents in need of paternity, medical and support establishment, modification of an existing order and maintenance of support orders.Manage an assigned caseload. Prioritize tasks and time to meet established performance goals and critical deadlines.Communicates with a variety of community partners including human service agencies, employers, clerks of court, county sheriff, attorneys, and other entities to achieve the goals of the Child Support Program through phone calls, emails, and other written correspondence.Build strong working relationships with parents and help them overcome any reluctance to cooperate with Child Support services and programs in order to ensure their success.Independently analyzes a variety of complex case situations and legal scenarios to determine the appropriate action to establish, maintain or modify support for families in and out of the state of Iowa.Uses Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook) proficiently and has the aptitude to learn other computerized systems, including ICAR, is critically important for success in this position.Comprehend and adhere to confidentiality provisions in the Code of Iowa.The ideal candidate will have strong experience with:Critical thinking skills and executing complex tasks independently.Customer service, including de-escalation of conflictual or adversarial situations.Adjust and adapt to work pressures, changing situations with ease.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent oral and written communication and report composition.Teamwork, collaboration, and consultation.Managing multiple deadlines.Extreme accuracy in mathematical calculations and timelines.Additional RequirementsThis position requires occasional travel.
